Throwing a baseball or softball is one of the most strenuous activities on the shoulder and elbow that an athlete performs. Whether pitching or fielding the ball, many baseball and softball players develop arm injuries. Most of these injuries can be attributed to muscular fatigue, muscular imbalances or throwing mechanics.

If a player lacks particular stability or mobility components, their body will compensate according to these deficiencies. These patterns of dysfunction may ultimately create an inefficient golf swing that will lack power and consistency and potentially injury.
