Pitching Performance
Throwing a baseball or softball is one of the most strenuous activities on the shoulder and elbow that an athlete performs. Whether pitching or fielding the ball, many baseball and softball players develop arm injuries. Most of these injuries can be attributed to muscular fatigue, muscular imbalances or throwing mechanics.
Dr. Golan understands that it is critically important to treat the entire athlete and has extensive experience with treating athletes from recreational to the major leagues.
Golf Performance
The ATL Sports medicine team measures and trains the body to work more efficiently. Dr. Golan delivers a comprehensive plan to address movement limitations, strength and power deficiencies, and consistency issues through our evaluation protocols.
Injuries can also occur with golfers if there is an underlying movement dysfunction that is not properly addressed. If a player lacks particular stability or mobility components, their body will compensate according to these deficiencies. These patterns of dysfunction may ultimately create an inefficient golf swing that will lack power and consistency and potentially injury.
